Bruce Gregory, Ph.D./ Clinical Director
Bruce Gregory, Ph.D. has been a licensed
therapist for thirty years. For fifteen years he has been the director
of the Master’s Program
in Counseling Psychology at Ryokan College. He has been working in the
fields of trauma and addiction recovery for 25 years in his private practice
and as a hired consultant and speaker. Dr. Gregory works with individuals,
couples, families, and groups. He has worked as a consultant with Promises
Treatment Program where he has supervised and trained the staff in assessment,
treatment planning and overall case management. He has also worked with
corporations in the U.S. and Europe doing leadership training, crisis
intervention and team building. He has been a workshop leader at Esalen
Institute, the Milton Erickson Foundation and CAMFT, among other organizations.
He interfaces with treatment centers that include Hazelden, Betty Ford,
Sierra Tucson, Summit, and the Meadows dealing with assessment and treatment
planning issues.
Birgitta Gregory,
Ph.D.
Birgitta Gregory, Ph.D. is a life coach
who has been working in the field of addiction recovery for ten years.
She is a faculty member of
Ryokan College in Los Angeles where she teaches classes in Narcissism:
Its Effect on Relationships, Effective Communication, and Parenting/Step-parenting.
She works with individuals, couples and groups as well as a variety of
organization such as American Express, the California Women’s Law
Center, and National Health Law Program Inc. Dr. Gregory has worked as
a group facilitator at Promises Treatment Centers and she continues to
consult on an as need basis in the capacity as a life coach and workshop
leader. She is the author of “Get Your Relationships Right; Inside
and Out!” a book focusing on the hidden dynamics of relationships.
Her work emphasizes awareness, choices, accountability, responsibility,
boundary setting, and conflict resolution.
Steven Glass, Psy.D.
Steven Glass, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing
in the treatment of addiction and the affect of addiction on the family.
He has worked as a group facilitator at Promises Treatment Center where
he led multi-family process groups focusing on codependency, family boundaries
and limits, increasing communication, and other issues related to unhealthy
family structures. Dr. Glass has lectured on the neurobiology of addiction
and is a faculty member of Ryokan College where he has taught courses
in substance abuse at the graduate and doctorate level.
Abigail Glass, M.A.
Abigail Glass, M.A. spent 7 years in education with children and families
and has been counseling individuals, couples and families for the past
5 years. Her focus on family dynamics in relationship to addiction is
derived from 16 years of work both professionally and personally. She
has lectured in schools on the topics of boundaries, emotional expression
and needs, and parenting education. She has worked at Promises Treatment
Center with multi-family groups as well as groups for individuals supporting
clients to utilize their resources to develop healthy patterns of family
interaction. Abigail has also facilitated groups oriented towards self-expression,
communication and managing, coping and containing emotional experience.
